Great Circle hire life jackets are Australian Sailing compliant and Commercial Survey (NSCV) approved. The adult size (body mass; 40 – 70 + kg) are inflatable type and provide a minimum 150 Newtons of buoyancy and are certified compliant with AS 4758.1. Hire inflatable life jackets incorporate a heavy duty, Australian Sailing compliant harness with stainless-steel D rings for tether line attachment and includes a SOLAS approved locator light, double crotch strap and utilises the Hammar® Automatic Hydrostatic Inflation System, the most reliable inflation system available and very suited to the wettest and most demanding of sea conditions.
Life jackets for children are inherently buoyant foam type and suit body mass: 5-10kg, 10-15kg and 15-25kg. Child jackets include a SOLAS approved locator light.
‘Coastal’ inherently buoyant foam type jackets for commercial applications (NSCV compliant) provide a minimum 150 Newtons of buoyancy and suit adult body mass: 40 – 70 + kg or child body mass; 15-43kg. Both jacket types include a SOLAS approved locator light.
Great Circle Safety Tethers are approved to standard EN1095. Both types, the 2 & 3 hook, feature self-looking hooks and cannot be opened accidentally.
PLEASE NOTE; Great Circle hire life jackets are fitted with Load Indicators as required by standards authorities. If the life jacket’s harness or Safety Tether were to receive a severe load it may activate the indicator. Such an occurrence would render the life jacket or safety tether faulty and replacement would be required. You would be billed for its replacement cost.
