The Aironaut™ Dan Buoy will assist recovery of a crew member overboard by providing a common recovery reference point during both daylight and night. On release from its stowage case the Dan Buoy can be allowed to drop directly into the seawater below or be thrown in the direction of the crewmember overboard. On contact with the water and within a few seconds, it will deploy automatically and its tower will stand two metres tall above the seawater’s surface. It will provide a highly visible rescue reference point. The dan buoy is supplied in a waterproof, easily fitted rail mount case.
